Belle Meade Bourbon Honey Cask Finish named BEST SPECIAL BARREL FINISHED BOURBON at 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

When it comes time to crown a spirit as the “best,” there’s always an argument. However, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and their team of heavyweight judges have a solid reputation in the industry. The 44-judge panel comprised of all-stars like Derek Brown, Charles Joly, Fred Minnick, Ivy Mix, Julie Reiner, and Tony Abou-Ganim, sampled almost 2500 spirits contending in 100+ categories.

Throughout four days of highly controlled blind tastings, the experienced judging panels taste every product to decide if it is medal-worthy. Judges do not receive any information on producer or price point, ensuring each spirit is judged fairly, equally, and without bias.

We were beyond honored to have our Belle Meade Bourbon Honey Cask Finish selected as the Best Special Barrel Finished Bourbon this year.
